Back in the Lone Star state!

Hiya! I'm back in Texas and for the most part unpacked. I kind of missed Texas. :) Sorry for the long break but I've been busy! Phew! But I have been drawing throughout the whole move so here is one pattern I've made and hopefully I'll have a few new ones up over the next week as I scan scan scan!
I'm calling this one tangle. I'm gonna have a lot more color options, but these are the 3 I've made so far.

Inspiration is at it's best when used immediately...

I suddenly had to draw...

Blam!

Ok, so 10 sketch pages in a day is wicked hard to do! Even with my free styling doodles, but I did it eventually. Maybe 10 pages in a week is more realistic, cause that's what I did. Anywho, here they are!

Now, my next goal is to make some sweet patterns with this crazy lot. I'm gonna go for one today. Let's try for 4 by this time next week. :)

I'll be updating!

Woo!

Ok, if I'm moving home I need to stay goal orientated, correct? So, I need daily goals.

Today's goal?

Fill up ten pages in my sketch book (or ten all together cause I have 4 sketchbooks right now)!

Sound good! Go!

This poster is great!

It only takes a moment to be loved a whole life long!

I went out of my comfort zone on colors today and Miss Sarah C. helped me out. I do love that teal color the most! Well, still sick, but in a pattern making mood. :)

*cough*

Although I'm sick I keep thinking bright thoughts. I wanted to make a pattern with these two odd shapes. I find it fun, simple, and worthy of a victorian bathroom!

Yum!

I love pomegranates! They are so delicious and very popular right now. Pomegranate juice, body spray, lotion, new found health benefits; which considering it's a fruit is a no brainer. Now, I did use this shape in my Framed Flora pattern, but I really wanted it by itself. :) So, la!

For you, my dear!

Drew this today and I really like how it turned out. I framed it for fun. Makes me want to go to an outdoor market and inspect the flower section till I find the perfect fresh cut flowers to make me happy.

buzz buzz goes the bee

This just seemed to work out best when I kept the colors simple. The colors make me think of honey.

Bit of a revision. Sarah suggested monotone and I love this way better (with the dark gold in the background). :) Happy, honey, humble, bumble bee!

Deta and me

For some reason my cat is afraid of my camera so I'm trying to slowly get him used to it because I'm one of those people that like to take pictures of my pet. :) So he looks a bit peeved in these shots, but he's my beautiful Deta (pronounced like Data, yes, like from Star Trek).

Breakfast at Tiffany's

This one just looked pretty when I kept it simple. I kept trying to put something in the middle of the rectangle but it wouldn't have it. Also, light colors looked much better than any darks I tried. :) If I had a breakfast nook this would make perfect wallpaper.

Listen to your Grandma

I just felt like using this framed-esque shape I drew the other day and this just flowed out of me. I worked on the colors a lot, I don't even have a second option cause I don't want to mess with this at all; at least not for the moment. But I love the oldie feeling of this pattern. I'd love to have a dirty old garden shed, or a front room parlor with this as wallpaper on the inside. :)

Doodling while watching American Idol

Inspired by The Wizard's  Hat:

Algae

These dots are from a different page in my sketchbook and thus gave me the idea of clustering them. I like how the yellow reverse came out. I had a lot of color ways on this pattern, but these two are my favorite. I'd love a dress with this pattern on it. Oh, or some fun wall paper! :)

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

This print is simple too but I find it amazing what can be made from one fun shape. :)

One door closes, another opens

So I've started my blog over. A new look for catyaty! Here is my first new pattern:

(I couldn't decide, but I like this light look.)
